Condolence:
I'm sorry to hear of Fred's passing. I worked with him for ten years at the Gas Turbine Lab in Schenectady. He was a great Engineer/Mechanic and we shared many a story.
My sincere condolences to his family.

Condolence: Dear Doris & family,
May I join you in mourning your loss of Fred. As you know, he was a guiding light for me, not only in the practice of keeping honey bees, but as a model of ethical and fair human behavior.
I was quite surprised when Fred asked me to join him in serving on the New York State Agricultural Commissioner’s Apiary Industry Advisory Committee. Further, I never expected that shortly thereafter, I would be nominated and elected to serve as that Committee’s Chair. Even after his retirement from that Committee, he continued to provide sage advice and notice of unfolding chances to bring financial support for research on honey bee health. As that Chairman and as one of only two beekeepers on the Governor’s Pollinator Protection Action Plan Task Force, I continue to strive to carry forward Fred’s most laudable desires to inform all beekeepers of the best management practices.
I am honored to have had a chance to work with Fred and to have had his respect.
Please accept my sincere sympathy,
Stephen Wilson
