Obituary for Alan K. Watson

Alan K. Watson, age 65, of Scotch Bush Road, died suddenly on Thursday, June 23, 2016 at his home. He was born on March 17, 1951 in Cincinnati, OH and was the son of the late Joe and Margaret (Wilson) Watson. Alan was a graduate of Niskayuna High School and received his Bachelor’s Degree at Union College in Schenectady. He worked as an engineer for Systech Software, Inc. in Burnt Hills, NY for many years. He loved dogs, gardening, photography and music. Starting with Gosling’s Golden Talisman (Tally), he built an entire family of Golden Retrievers who he loved and trained.
He is survived by brother James B. Watson of Hammondsport, NY, sister Pamela Hansell of East Windsor, NJ, nephews Erik, Jasen, Jared, and Daniel and nieces Sarah and Abby. He was predeceased by brother Jay S. Watson of Canton, CT.
There will be no calling hours and the funeral will be held privately. Donations may be sent to The Humane Society of the United States, 2100 L Street, NW, Washington, DC 20037.
