Condolence: A Tribute To Our Friend - Kason LewisI

Lek and I have known Kason for 11 years. We first met Kason at our wedding on November 19, 2005. Kason arrived at our wedding as a guest of our friend Tiu Lambert, a Thai friend who lives in our neighborhood. Tiu asked if she could bring a friend to our wedding, and we said Sure. That friend was Kason. So, we must thank Tiu for bringing Kason into our lives and introducing us to such a wonderful person.

Before you knew it, we had received an invitation to attend the wedding of Steve and Kason Lewis. We attended the wedding, and met Steve for the first time. The two weddings were the beginning of a wonderful friendship.

Whenever we spoke about Kason, we always spoke about Steve as well. It is always our friends Steve and Kason, or Kason and Steve.

Kason is not just our friend. She is much more than that. Kason would always do anything for you. Even through the struggles with her illness, she would be there for her friends and family, and ready to help them in any way she could. For Kason, her friends and family were always first when help was needed. She would always be running for you and trying to help you in any way.

Over the years we have had many wonderful times with Kason and she was the brightest star among our friends.

Kason and Steve would have a party where friends would gather at their home almost every weekend. We had such good times with them.

Sometimes we would be ready to leave and go home, and Kason would say You are leaving, you cant leave now, Stay awhile longer. So we would stay. After a while if we were ready to head home, I would tell Lek, Ask Nong Kason if we can go home. Lek would say Pee Kason, can we go home now? We would always ask permission of Kason before we would go home. Sometimes Kason would say Yes dear, you can go home now. But other times she would say No, you cant go home yet. Because she wanted to visit with us a little longer.

I cannot tell you how many times Lek and I have been out and about and running errands, and before heading home, I would say to Lek Can you call Kason and ask her if we can go home now? Kason will always be in our hearts as long as we live.

We love you Kason

Condolence: If I could sum my mom up in one word it would be "amazing." She was the most loving, caring, strong, and selfless person I have ever met. Through her I have learned what unconditional love is. She was loved by so many, but I was lucky enough to have her as my mom. The world has lost a beautiful soul and she is missed already. I hope I can be even half the woman she was. I love you mom.

Condolence: Kason was beautiful inside and out. My husband and I have both been grateful to have had an opportunity to know her. She was always welcoming and kind. We were strangers in her life associated through marriage but she never treated us as strangers and neither did her husband or friends. She seemed to surround herself with the best kind of people. Aside from how she welcomed us what was most amazing about her was watching her be a wife, mother and grand-mother. She seemed to wear her love for her children, husband and grand-children on her sleeve. Her love seemed unconditional and self-sacrificing. I think she was a special kind of person who was loyal, kind and full of love. For the short time I knew her she has made a lasting impression on me. When being a mother, wife and friend becomes a struggle I will remind myself of strong, beautiful women like Kason.

Thank you for sharing her with us she will always be in our memories.
