Obituary for Doris E. Seibert (McArthur)

Dateline: Scotia, NY
Doris E. Seibert, age 83, of Ralmar Drive, died on Saturday, May 20, 2017 at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady. She was born on February 13, 1934 in Schenectady and was the daughter of the late Elmer and Doris K. (Velie) McArthur. Doris was a graduate of Burnt Hills Ballston Lake High School and earned her Bachelor of Science at the State University of New York at Buffalo.
She was a lifelong Scotia resident and married her High School sweetheart, Frederick John Seibert on April 1, 1956. Doris had a rewarding career as an elementary school teacher at the Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake Central School District. She was a Card Shark and Bridge Wizard for sure and enjoyed shuffling things up amongst her various card playing groups. Doris always had a lottery scratcher ready for the moment and she enjoyed spending time with “Mr.Green” in Saratoga Springs. Music brought her joy and so, she loved to tickle the ivories and ring the hand bells. Time spent with her family was beyond her greatest pleasure ever.
She was the loving mother of Katherine L Falls of Clifton Park, Stephen Seibert of Scotia and Meghan (Ted) Glowa of Burnt Hills, NY; devoted grandmother of Emily (Matt) Duemler, Zachary C. Falls, Sarah M. Glowa and Alex Glowa; dearest great grandmother of Harper Katherine Duemler.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Thursday, May 25th between 5 and 7 pm at Townley & Wheeler Funeral Home, 21 Midline Road, Ballston Lake, NY 12019.
A graveside service will be held privately at Memory Garden’s Cemetery, Colonie, NY.
In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make memorial contributions to a charity of their choice.

With confidence, the family has placed their trust in the loving care of the Townley & Wheeler Funeral Home, 21 Midline Road, Ballston Lake NY, and they encourage you to view and leave messages on Doris’ Book of Memories at www.TownleyWheelerFH.com
