Obituary for Charles B. "Chop" McCormack II

Charles B. McCormack, 57, of Lakeshore Avenue, died peacefully at home surrounded by his wife and two children on June 3, 2017. He was born on May 5, 1960 in Schenectady, NY and was the son of the late Donald B. and the late Elizabeth (Alford) McCormack of Old Forge, NY. Charles was a graduate of Burnt Hills – Ballston Lake High School, class of 1979.
Charles was the proud owner of CBM Fabrications, Inc., Ballston Lake, NY, a successful business he started in 1987. Charlie loved his family more than anything. He adored his daughter Molly and son Charlie. They could not have asked for a more loving and devoted father. He loved doing things as a family including skiing, boating, camping, and spending time at their camp in Old Forge called “the Booze and Snooze”. Charlie also enjoyed snowmobiling and riding his Harley and Iron Horse.
Charlie was known as “Chop” to his many friends. He was very kind and generous. His home was always open to all sorts of fun activities including Sunday volleyball games in the summer and racing motorcycles on the ice in the winter.
He was the beloved husband of Patricia (Sangster) McCormack, loving father to Molly McCormack and Charlie McCormack and son-in-law of Ross and Nancy Sangster. He is survived by his brother, Joseph McCormack and sisters Diane (Dan) Walz, Lynne McCormack, and Beth (Ron) Puglisi. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Tuesday, June 6, 2017 from 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM at Townley and Wheeler Funeral Home at 21 Midline Road, Ballston Lake, NY.
Funeral will be held on Wednesday, June 7, 2017 at 10:00 AM at Calvary Episcopal Church, 85 Lake Hill Road, Bunt Hills, NY.
Interment will follow at Sweetman Cemetery, 249 Sweetman Road, Charlton, NY.
