George "Jim" Nash

George “Jim” Nash, age 88, passed away at the Home of the Good Shepherd with his family surrounding him on Thursday, 29 June 2017. He was born in Danielson, Connecticut in March of 1929, the son of George Eugene Nash and Ethel Davis Nash. He has two sisters, Rita Kerouack of Melbourne Florida, and Evelyn Chmura of Brooklyn, Connecticut. Jim is predeceased by his loving wife Elizabeth (Bette) T. King Nash in 2007, whom he met in Utica, New York, and married in 1953. They have six children, fourteen grandchildren, and three great grandchildren. Jim Nash served the Nation honorably in the U.S. Army, was deployed to Germany 1948-49, and completed a 36-year career with AT&T in 1982. Upon retiring, Jim and Bette moved to Ocala, Florida, and continued to spend summers on Ballston Lake in a home that he built with his sons and friends in 1967. He is survived by his children Linda Digiuseppe of Clifton Park; David and Jeanne Nash of Ballston Lake; Roy and Deborah Nash of Fairfax Station, Virginia; Diane and Jimmy Loubier of Clifton Park; Susan and David Rohrwasser of Clifton Park; and Donald and Ellen Nash of Ballston Lake; his grandchildren Carol Drozd, Cheryl and Eric Barber, Staci and Bryan Marra, Christopher Nash, David A. and Ashleigh Nash, Michael Nash, Sarah Nash and Casey Veilleux, Matthew Nash, Anna Nash, Vicki Loubier, Kelly Rohrwasser, Justin Rohrwasser, Shawn Nash, Connor Nash and his three great grandchildren Ryan Barber, Austin Barber and Lily Drozd.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Wednesday, July 5th from 9:00am to 11:00am at Townley & Wheeler Funeral Home, 21 Midline Rd., Ballston Lake, NY 12019. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 am at Our Lady of Grace Church, 73 Midline Rd., Ballston Lake, NY 12019. Interment with Military Honors will follow at 2:00pm at the Gerald B.H. Solomon National Cemetery, 200 Duell Rd., Schuylerville, NY 12871.
