Obituary for Mina P. Boilard (Plourde)
Mina Boilard, age 80, of Clifton Park, died on Tuesday, March 27, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on December 10, 1937 in Fort Kent, Maine and was the daughter of the late Arthur and Delia (DuBois) Plourde. Her family was her greatest source of pride and joy– being together and enjoying life with her husband, their three children and their spouses and her most precious grandchildren. Raising her family was her primary devotion, but she enjoyed tremendously her many years of work as a real estate broker. Mina started her real estate career in Fairfield County, CT and then moved to the Greater Albany area, where she excelled and prospered.
For many years, Mina gained much gratification from volunteering her time and energy at Schuyler Ridge Nursing Home. Mina enjoyed helping at St. Ann/St. John’s Welcome Table and Produce Pantry. She was active whenever she could be of service.
Mina had a passion for traveling and, over their years together, she and her husband set aside time for many memorable vacation trips together and with their family.
Mina was the wife of her adoring husband George Boilard, to whom she was married for 59 wonderful years; loving mother of Thomas (Maura) Boilard, Gregory (Deborah) Boilard and Claire (Glenn) Oliver; adoring grandmother of Christopher Boilard, Kevin Boilard, Meghan Boilard, Jonathan Boilard, Brent Oliver and Logan Oliver; loving sister to Wanita (Don) Cyr, Joel (Marsha) Plourde, Philip (Deborah) Plourde, David (Rebecca) Plourde, and late Joan (Roger) Banville, Gilda LaPointe, and infants Mary Ellen and Harold Plourde.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, April 3rd at 11:00 a.m. at St. Edward the Confessor Church. Relatives and friends are invited and may call from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the church prior to Mass. Those who wish may make memorial donations to the ALS Regional Center at St. Peter’s Health Partners, 19 Warehouse Row, Albany NY 12205.
