Obituary for Lois M. Fogg (Thibodeau)

Dateline: Glenville, NY

Lois M. Fogg, age 90, passed away on Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at Ellis Hospital after a short illness. She was born on February 17, 1928 in Schenectady, NY and was the daughter of the late Albert and Clara (Francois) Thibodeau. Lois grew up in Glenville and graduated Burnt Hills – Ballston Lake High School, class of ‘45. She worked as a secretary in General Electric for a number of years until she and her husband Charles founded the Fogg family business in 1949, and together set their sights on the value of quality auto service, customer service and care in the auto industry. Lois spent her life until recently as a pillar and fixture of the business, respected and loved by everyone. She taught her son's core values, like how to treat people, and the importance of integrity. These very values that Lois instilled in her sons and grandchildren guided them and the business in the past, and will continue to guide them in the future.

She was a loving woman who was dedicated to her husband, children, grandchildren, and family. She did everything she could with them. Lake George was a special place for her and she cherished all times that she could spend there with family. She enjoyed social activities from dancing, bowling, and playing bridge.

Lois is survived by her husband of 70 years, Charles H. Fogg, Jr.; her children, Charles H. (Susan C.) Fogg, III and John H. (Barbara G.) Fogg; her grandchildren, Brandon C. (Jamie L.) Fogg, Jason C. Fogg, Eric J. (Amy D.) Fogg and Kathleen M. Fogg; great-grandchildren, Carly L. Fogg and Makenzy D. Fogg.
